The most impressive feature of this application isn’t just it can work with various GPS equipment, but also that it is also able to convert between various applications like Basecamp as well as Google Earth. That is to say that both HikeTech and MacGPSPro are complete applications. It’s not the best value, but for a small amount, one can have an abundance of functionality. Additionally, settings aren’t saved and must be reset each time a launch, and sometimes every download. The write-up also seems exaggerated since MacGPSBabel does not support the two (and the two aren’t that many) Mac program formats–MacGPSPro and HikeTech (TopoDraw/Link2GPS).
